What is VIHSMUN?

Victoria International High Schools Model United Nations (VIHSMUN) is a three day conference held at the Fairmont Empress, Victoria Conference Centre, and Marriott Inner Harbour in downtown Victoria. The conference was created and is organized by high school students in the Greater Victoria area who wish to bring the art of diplomacy to their home town.

VIHSMUN is hosted by a group of high schoolers, in the VIHSMUN Society, an incorporated non-profit organization, based in Greater Victoria, British Columbia. We are a small but passionate group who aim to build and grow the art of diplomacy in the beautiful capital of Canada’s most western province.

What is our goal?
Our official slogan is, "Integrating multiculturalism and geopolitical issues into the minds of Canada's youth." We believe that the ultimate goal is to unite the youth across our city, country, and even around the world, under common goals of multiculturalism, equality, and freedom. We believe that people are more alike then we think, and that educating the generations to come is essential.
